Why a maths tutor?
- You've noticed how your child's confidence has crumpled or that they frequently burst out with: 'I just don't get it'.
- You feel that no progress has been made over the last 3 years.
- Fire brigade measure: 'Panic, maths exam next week'.
But when you, their parent try to help, you get the response: "We don't do it that way at school"! My own children have been through school, and I have found that sometimes with the best will in the world, parents can not always give that helpful maths support themselves.
Now for the nuts and bolts..
I am based in Coleshill (Birmingham), but I will travel out to Marston Green, Chelmsley Wood, Castle Bromwich, Water Orton, Shustoke, Whitacre.
My charge is :
- £30 per hour if I come to your house or
- £25 per hour if you come to me.
For regular longterm tuition I will offer a 15% discount.
I normally suggest an hour lesson once a week.
The table shows my current availability, (B = booked); Saturday sessions may also be arranged by appointment.

With 1:1 tuition, there is no hiding or avoiding the issues.
In an hour session, we think maths, talk maths and do maths.
